Exploring the Cities

It was brought to my attention that I didn’t specify the names of the places I went this weekend. Okay, I’ll share, but all of you can’t all show up there at once and make it impossible for me to get in next time. Promise? Okay, I’ll tell you.

The bar I went to was Bootleggers.I will say this, I felt a bit under-dressed in jeans and an nice top. A huge majority of the girls were in dresses, but there were also three bachelorette parties, so that’s probably why. It’s a nice jeans and top bar. The downstairs main bar area was what you’d expect for a downtown bar, good music, dancing and lots of people standing around drinking. But I’ll go back for the upstairs.

I’m a dive-bar type of girl. Don’t get me wrong, I love dancing and getting dolled up… but a few good tunes in the background and a group of friends is all I need to have a good night out. Darts, fun music and shot girls that keep coming around, I’ll be a repeat customer.

Sunday morning brunch: we went to a St. Paul gem, Day by Day Cafe. It has a full menu, but the breakfast comes highly recommended by yours truly (The Jueveos Rancheros are YUMMY!) :)  Also - you should eat outside. You’ll seat yourself wherever you decide to sit, but through the back doors is the sectioned patio. It’s private and a nice quiet, quaint, wooded getaway in the edge of downtown. You should also know, if you go there: bring cash, they don’t take cards and don’t have an ATM. It’s totally worth it though.

I can’t wait to keep exploring the Cities to find new places and rediscovering my old favorites. I move to Minneapolis on Saturday - so let the adventure begin.
