I can get a bit impulsive. While I don’t get tattoos… I’ve been known to get bored and dye my hair, get a piercing (don’t get any ideas, they’re just in my ears) and go crazy while shopping. This weekend: I adopted a cat.
Not to brag, but she’s really the cutest kitten out there. I named her Layla. She’s black and white with green eyes. We spotted her in a little cage with her brother. The two were so tiny, and played together so well. But it was an instant connection. I adopted her at 7 weeks old, she only weighs 1.5 pounds. The Humane Society says she was part of an unwanted litter, but is such a great source of joy for me. I love coming home and plopping down on the couch and having her run up onto my lap. She is such a cuddle-bug.
After playing for about 15 minutes, she finds me, crawls up to my chest and neck, then purrs until she falls asleep. It’s the cutest thing ever.
What prompted my kitty purchase? My good friend Andrea adopted a cat earlier this summer. His name is Ollie. And he too is adorable.

I snapped these pictures so you can begin to understand her adorableness. I also took them because I know she’s gonna grow so quickly and be a big cat. Layla’s legs and paws are big, she’s gonna be (as Andrea puts it) a Big Mama (don’t worry, Bob Barker talked me into getting her spayed). I’m not even a cat person.. but I’m in love.
