Holy crap, it’s November. When’d that happen? Halloween means the 5k is a month away. Really big holy crap.
Heather is back in town. She’s been on vacation and today she said it’s time to kick my training into gear. She must have read my blog… she knew I wasn’t running. I got sick, I made excuses, I stopped running.
She used words like “crunch time,” “turn it up,” and the scariest, “be warned: I’m checking in on you.” Eek.
I got a much needed pep talk from one of my best friends, Rachael tonight. Between wanting to cry and curse the day I decided to sign up for this, she reminded me I set this goal, and I can accomplish this goal. It doesn’t matter what time I finish in, it’s important that I’m doing it.
I am going to bed early tonight so I can get up early and run tomorrow. I’m back on the bandwagon. My 25th birthday is Wednesday. and this is the year I become healthier.
