I just registered for the 1/2 marathon. It’s the “Red, White & Boom Twin Cities Half Marathon.” It’s the first year of the race, so it’ll be pretty cool to run it in. The good news tonight is I’m one giant step closer to completing my goal. Hopefully it won’t be too hot. And if it is, I’ll be the one in the short shorts and tiny tank top trotting along the river (ick, kidding!)
My coworker Mark has already signed up too. Now I’m just waiting for the rest of the brood. The night we decided to run it, Mark said 13 miles is nice… so that’s our motto for the race.
My calf is feeling better, so I’m gonna start training again on Saturday. Gauging after the 5k, I’m gonna need all the training time I can get. No more injuries!!!
There are two races before the 1/2 that I want to do. In March, there’s a St. Patrick’s Day 5k… and in May, the Stillwater Marathon has a 10k and 12k. I’ll do one of those too. …and who knows, maybe another one or two too!
