In case you were wondering: the first #tweetcrawl will go down in the social media history books (databases?) as a success.
About two dozen tweeters showed for the inaugural event. We sat around, ordered drinks and food. We also tried to tweet our orders (cuz we’re cool like that). Few of us knew one another, so it was a great way to meet other awesome people in the Twin
Cities.
Oh, and Jason solidified our gang sign. It’s a hashtag (#) get it?!
After three hours of drinks at Herkimer we ventured next door to the VFW. No, that wasn’t a typo, we did go to the VFW, and, yes, there is one in Uptown.
Luckily, it was free cover and karaoke night. Imagine the excitement. In the VFW’s defense, the drinks were super cheap and super strong. The karaoke, on the other hand, was sub par. None the less, we had a really great time laughing and people watching.
We’ll most definitely be having another Tweetcrawl, and hopefully more people will show up.
There is one thing we will have to figure out before then:
What’s a cootie scratch?
