I’m OBSESSED with this song! (be honest, who isn’t?) Okay, obsessed is an understatement, we’ve turned it on at work and tried following along to the choreography (stop judging - you’re jealous).

I’m no music aficionado, but did hear that Beyonce writes her own songs. Which made me wonder why she would write a song called “Single Ladies,” (aka: Put A Ring On It) when she’s married to Jay-Z.

Turns out A GUY wrote the catchy tune. Yeah, a guy! My friend Andrea, who is a music aficionado just told me. His name is Terius Nash, aka The Dream. He’s a Grammy nominated producer and singer-songwriter. He’s produced a good chunk of those songs we can’t get out of our head: Mariah Carey’s Touch my Body, Rhianna’s Umbrella (ella…ella) and Amy Winehouse’s Rehab.

Well, now you know.

And on that note, I’m grabbing my leotard and practicing my dance routine.
