Most days I love Minnesota. Most days I love snow. Key words being: most days.
I’m stuck in my house in Minnesota. This stinks. After an impromptu long weekend to visit the fam, Old Man Winter decided to pay me a visit. It’s snowing and snowing and snowing.
Once I realized it took me an hour to drive what should take 20 minutes, I realized I won’t be going anywhere but back to my parent’s house. Boo.
I’m glad I called my buddy Karli, she’s been my personal storm tracker. As of 2:00, there’s more than 16 inches of snow along I-35 in Iowa, which would have been disastrous to drive through.
I’ve been sitting home for about six hours with spotty Internet access, bad TV and zero food. I called in the troops, aka, my best friend Rachael, and she came to the rescue. We got some food and are now watching TV.

The flakes are now falling faster and bigger. But I have warm food so it’s all good. Hopefully I’ll be back on the road and back in KC tomorrow. And if the snow doesn’t let up, I’ll start clicking my heels… maybe that’ll help.
Rachael and I are actually heading back out into the snowy abyss. We have to get her mom from Minneapolis. This time we’re taking the camera. Pray for us.
