God on the ‘net

It looks like major religions are using social media to reach out to more people than ever before. I logged onto Twitter this morning, and found out The Dalai Lama is now on too. It’s not really him, it’s his official office. It says you can write him a question and they will do the best they can to answer it.

A few weeks ago, the Pope said he was going to be using YouTube to reach the masses. The Vatican posts daily updates to what Pope Benedict XVI is up to and relevant Vatican events.

I think right now the whole world is in such a turbulent time that more people are turning to religion. But all this holiness on the super highway makes me wonder: what social media can the Jews turn to? It’s not like the Western Wall has a website where you can digitally post your prayer.
