Hanson and the Smashing Pumpkins. One’s late 90’s pop, the other Mid-90’s grunge. Well, those two worlds are colliding. MTV Buzzworthy Blog is reporting Taylor Hanson has started a group with a founding member of Smashing Pumpkins. The band is called Tinted Windows. They’re an Indie-Rock type group. Their song “Kind of a Girl” is out in late April. You can listen to it here. I’m OBSESSED with it.

A few months back Hanson came on the morning show. Being a teeny-popper in the late 90’s, I was quite familiar with Hanson. Meeting Issac, Zac and Taylor was pretty cool, and quite surreal. I didn’t have them posted up on my bedroom walls, but they were on the back of the BSB posters I had up.

After the show, I spent a good 30 minutes talking to the three of them and felt bad for returning the Middle of Nowhere CD I got for my Bat Mitzvah. They were really cool. Issac even invited me to hang out with them that night. (If you’re wondering, I passed… I couldn’t bare the thought of cheating on the BSB like that).
