My good friend and co-worker Megan is raising $4,100 to run a half marathon. It sounds crazy, but it’s for a fantastic cause. The money goes towards the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help find a cure for blood cancers.

Megan has been personally touched by such diseases and has made it her mission to not only complete her first half marathon but to help out in the cause. And trust me, she has been working her butt off training for the race and fundraising.

I spent the day on Sunday wearing bunny ears asking for money on street corners in Lawrence (insert joke here). We raised over $200 bucks in two hours.

Here’s Megan’s promise to you:

“I’ll be hurting a lot, sweating a lot and working as hard as I can to accomplish this goal. I know I need the help of my family, my community and my friends to achieve it. Thanks very much for considering a donation. I promise you, I’ll make it count!”

If you’d like to donate to Megan’s team, you can do so here.
